Charlotte, NC April 23 - The Roaring Riot, which was founded in 2015 and boasts over 7,000 members and almost 40 chapters of fans of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers around the United States and worldwide, has announced today that they have created a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which will create experiences for Panthers fans in need all around the world.
“A person in need can be a child battling an illness or disease, like when we raised money to take Braylon Beam to Jacksonville with us,” said ringleader and owner of the Roaring Riot Zack Luttrell. “Or a person suffering an emotional distress, like when our dear friend Lynn suddenly lost her husband. Or rewarding those who selflessly give their time and efforts to make our community a better place, like when we took the BOLD Church volunteers to a home game.”
“We just felt as if we had the opportunity to give even more back than we already have and the Roaring Riot Foundation will allow us to do just that.”
The Roaring Riot has raised over $85,000 for multiple charities over the past four years through their Tailgate With A Purpose events, including the Isabella Santos Foundation, the Cam Newton Foundation and Operation Smile.
The Roaring Riot will be matching every donation up to the first $5,000 raised this offseason and each Tailgate With A Purpose event will raise money that will go directly to the foundation.
The first experience produced will be to provide an all-expenses paid trip for Saundra and Chancellor Lee Adams to see the Panthers play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London. Chancellor Lee is the son of former Panthers player Rae Carruth and Saundra is his grandmother and full-time caregiver.
“We just felt like this would be the best opportunity to make someone happy,” said Foundation Vice President Sean Singleton. “With the Adams’ rekindling their relationship with the team recently and all that they’ve been through, bringing them into the Roaring Riot community felt like the right thing to do.”
The Roaring Riot is a fan union of the Carolina Panthers which aims to UNITE and GROW the largest community of Panthers fans across the world who enjoy gathering as a group for events and to show support for their favorite team.
